AGRICULTURE
Advice in this area includes the purchase and leasing of farms, limited partnerships and rent arbitrations.

CIVIL COURT
This very wide area of work involves giving advice on all sorts of disputes. We deal with debt collection, contract disputes, property disputes, partnership dispute resolution, matrimonial matters and claims for damages.

COMMERCIAL CONVEYANCING
This can involve advice on purchasing or selling a factory unit, shop, hotel, public house or guest house and anything in between. We also undertake security work connected with the purchase and sale of such properties, either acting for clients or for Banks or other lenders.

COMPANY LAW
This will involve advice on setting up a new company, asset purchase, business purchase and share purchase and company secretarial.

DOMESTIC CONVEYANCING
Domestic conveyancing involves the buying and selling of houses, flats and other residential properties together with the creation, variation and discharge of securities including remortgages. The Solicitor’s function is to co-ordinate all aspects of the house purchase and sale to enable what can be a stressful time to go as smoothly as possible.

CROFTING
Advice is available on croft purchase and sale as well as tenancy issues

DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This can involve advice on a wide range of circumstances. We seek to analyse and advise on your legal position in relation to any dispute and through identifying the nature of the problem try to reach a settlement or accommodation with the other party to the dispute, thereby avoiding possible substantial Court expenses.

EMPLOYMENT LAW
This is an ever changing area of the law. Advice may be required on dismissal, redundancy and discrimination issues, as well as drawing up terms and conditions of employment and advising on rights generally.

ESTATE AGENCY
We provide a full estate agency service including advising on marketing, arranging Home Reports, the preparation of sales particulars and related matters.

ESTATE MANAGEMENT
We advise clients on all legal aspects in relation to the management and control of land and estates and we can assist with factoring and rent collection aspects.

EXECUTRY ADMINISTRATION
This involves advising on requirements at the time of a death, investigating the extent of an estate, advising on Inheritance Tax issues and in-gathering and distributing the deceased’s estate.

FINANCIAL SERVICES / INVESTMENT ADVICE
Although we ourselves cannot give financial advice we regularly deal with various firms of Stockbrokers and where appropriate refer life insurance and pensions enquiries to specialist Brokers and other financial advisers dealing with such matters.

DOMESTIC LEASING
We provide advice and assistance with the leasing of domestic properties including advertising, checking references, preparation of leases and rent collection related matters.

COMMERCIAL LEASING
We advise on all forms of commercial property leases including the preparation of new leases and the acquisition and disposal of leasehold properties.

LICENSING
We provide a full liquor licensing service to include advice on applications for new licences and the transfer of existing licences  and we provide representation at local Licensing Board Hearings.

PLANNING
Advice can be given on planning applications, appeals, enforcement notices and other issues arising.

POWERS OF ATTORNEY
We attend to the preparation of Powers of Attorney and, where required, act in the management of the affairs of clients who are unable, whether due to health or other reasons, to manage their own affairs.

TRUST ADMINISTRATION
The ongoing administration of a Trust will involve advising on investments, collecting and distributing trust income, reporting to the trustees and preparing trust accounts as appropriate.

WILLS
The preparation of a Will can be a reasonably straightforward matter, but depending on circumstances can involve detailed advice on various forms of Will and Lifetime Trusts, Inheritance Tax planning, bequests and legacies and related matters.
